Tour Program:

Day 1: Arrival in Tbilisi
Day 2: Tbilisi 
Arrival in Tbilisi previous day or early morning. Transfer to hotel. Tbilisi Sightseeing tour. Historic part of Tbilisi is located at the foot of Narikala Fortress. It charms visitors with its romantic, narrow streets, beautiful facades and picturesque sites next to each other, including Metekhi Church, Synagogue, Sioni Cathedral, Bridge of Peace, Anchiskhati Church and famous sulphur bathhouses. Its modern part is no less impressive, especially Rustaveli Avenue with its exquisite, 19th century architecture. Free time. Dinner in a traditional Georgian restaurant. Overnight in Tbilisi. 

Day 3: Tbilisi – David Gareji – Sighnaghi (210 km)
A tour to David Gareja in south-eastern part of Georgia. It is a semi-desert due to the lack of vegetation. It is inhabited with a big variety of rare species of birds. The Monastery, built in 6th century by Assyrian monk, David, is hidden behind the hills. You should take a walk on the slope of the hill to see the most beautiful part of the Complex and its wall paintings from 8-9th centuries. From the top one can see Azerbaijan border. Continue to drive to the town of Sighnaghi. Walking in the town and wine-tasting in a local wine-cellar. Dinner and overnight in Sighnaghi.     
Up&down 200 m, trekking 2,5 hrs. 

Day 4: Sighnaghi – Mtskheta – Tbilisi (170 km)
Drive to visit the old capital of Georgia - Mtskheta (UNESCO Word Heritage). Christianity in Georgia started from this town in 4th century. If you visit Jvari Monastery at the top of a high cliff, you can have a splendid panoramic view of how two rivers, Aragvi and Mtkvari join each other, as well as the great view on Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century), spiritual centre of the country. Dinner and overnight in Tbilisi. 

Day 5: Tbilisi – Uplistsikhe – Akhaltsikhe (230 km)
Drive to the cave town of Uplistsikhe, built back in the 1st millennium, BC by pagan tribes. There was a pass of Silk Road, whose traces are still seen. Continue to drive to the resort of Borjomi, famous for its mineral water. Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park takes 1% of Georgian territory. 2-hour long walk there, surrounded by amazing sights of natural beauty. Driving to the town of Akhaltsikhe. Dinner and overnight in Akhaltsikhe. 
Up&down 200 m, trekking 1,5-2 hrs. 

Day 6: Akhaltsikhe – Vardzia – Akhaltsikhe (150 km)
A journey in Golden Age of Georgia, during the reign of Queen Tamar. Visit cave town of Vardzia, not far from Turkish border. It has several floors connected with numerous tunnels. On the way one can see a lot of castles and fortresses, built in different centuries for protection against invaders. Later, visiting Akhaltsikhe Rabat, a town-fortress, which has been restored recently. Dinner and overnight in Akhaltsikhe. 

Day 7: Akhaltsikhe – Goderdsi Pass – Batumi 
Off road through mountainous Ajara to the Black Sea coast to the town of Batumi. Very picturesque sights of local settlements, arch bridges, fortresses of various forms, waterfall, alpine tops and pastures at about 3000 meters above sea level. Dinner and overnight in Batumi. 

Day 8: Batumi (70 km)
In the morning visit farmer’s market with fresh vegetables and fruits. Take your picnic lunch and drive to the National park of Mtirala. Walking to the waterfall Tsablnari and back. Later, a tour to Botanical Garden with more than 5000 species of plants from all over the world. Evening stroll along famous city boulevard. Overnight in Batumi. 
Mtirala National park - Up&down 150m, 2 h.
Botanical Gardens - Down 200m, 1,5-2 h.

Day 9: Batumi – Zugdidi – Becho (270 km)
Today you are leaving Black Sea resort and driving towards high mountains of Svaneti. Visiting Prince Dadiani’s Palace in Zugdidi. Svaneti is out of this world! Time doesn’t exist here. Snowy mountain peaks and guard towers come from the very depth of history. The Svans speak their own language and have lived according to their unwritten, ritualized lifestyle and customs for centuries. The Enguri River starts from here. On it one of the world’s biggest dam was built. The highest peak of Shkara (5068m) is, also, in Svaneti. Dinner and overnight in the village Becho. 

Day 10: Becho – towards Mt. Ushba – Becho
Short transfer and then start walking to the foot of Mt. Ushba (4700 m). Ushba is one of the most beautiful glaciers of Georgia.  During your trekking today you will see only one side of this mount that is known for it’s two picks. After crossing the river you will walk through the forest and reach waterfalls at the foot of the mount. Take the same way back. Dinner and overnight in the village Becho.    
Up&down 1200m, 7-9 h.

Day 11: Becho – Lakhiri – Mestia (40 km)
Off road to the Village of Lakhiri. Visiting the settlements of Lakhiri and Mulakhi. In the afternoon visit the Museum with its rich, historic treasury. Golden and silver icons and ritual decorations, warriors’ tools and oldest coins, as well as lots of artistic handicraft. The richest collection of oldest Georgian manuscripts from 9th-11th centuries really stands out. Drive up by cable car to the top of the Mount Zuruldi and enjoy breathtaking view from there. Dinner and overnight in Mestia.
Up 200m, down 500m,  4 h.

Day 12: Mestia – Ushguli – Mestia (100 km)
Off road to the highest settlement in Europe-Ushguli, UNESCO World Heritage. Ushguli is never forgotten. Passing along the highest glacier, Shkhara (5068m), at the very northern borders of Georgia. In Ushguli stands medieval Church of Lamaria (St.Mary), built in 12th century. After visiting the church, walk in the settlement. Enjoy taking photos of genuine Svaneti! Dinner and overnight in Mestia.

Day 13: Mestia – Kutaisi
Drive to the second largest city of Georgia – Kutaisi. Visit Promethe's cave with stunning shapes of its stalactites and stalagmites. Visiting Gelati Monastery, founded by great king, David the Builder in 12th century. It used to be the center of enlightenment of the country. Panoramic view of the city from Bagrati Cathedral (11th c.), which played an important role in Georgian history. Dinner and overnight in Kutaisi. 

Day 14: Kutaisi – Tbilisi 
Drive to Tbilisi. After arrival free time in Tbilisi. Dinner in a restaurant. Overnight in Tbilisi. 

Day 15: Departure 
Transfer to the airport and departure.
